The Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZF.2 DSLR lens fits Nikon FX format F-Mount cameras and is designed to mimic the perspective of the human eye on full-frame cameras. This makes the lens ideal for a number of applications including portrait and low-light photography. The lens’s Distagon optical design features one anomalous partial dispersion element that helps minimize chromatic aberrations. The dispersion element also helps maintain sharpness and clarity at any focal length or aperture range. Zeiss also treats the optical elements in the lens with an anti-reflective coating that reduces lens flare and ghosting when working in bright conditions. The manual aperture ring has clicked indicators, but it can be de-clicked for smooth, silent transitioning through the aperture range. To protect the delicate optical elements, Zeiss designed the ZF.2 with internal seals to keep out dirt and moisture.
