Zeiss Super Wide Angle 21mm f/2.8 Biogon T* ZM Manual Focus Rangefinder Lens

Zeiss Super Wide Angle 21mm f/2.8 Biogon T* ZM Manual Focus Rangefinder Lens

Zeiss' 21mm f/2.8 Biogon T* ZM is a powerful super-wide angle lens uniquely engineered for seamless high-speed, fully integrated performance with TTL-exposure metering.  It offers incredible resolving power, even when shooting with a wide open aperture.  You will experience minimum ghosting and flare thanks to Zeiss' advanced coating systems.  Because of the low amount of distortion, this lens is ideal for such applications as architectural interiors or dramatic landscapes.  The 10 blade aperture design allows for a shallow depth of field and pleasing out-of-focus background effects.  This lens creates a 90 angle of view, a 1.8' minimum focusing distance and accepts 46mm filters.

ZM LENSES
The Carl Zeiss range of T* ZM-mount lenses delivers incredible performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and sharp images. Virtually zero geometric distortion ensures precise accuracy when reproducing shapes, especially useful when photographing products and architecture.

MANUAL FOCUS
Manual focusing means you have all the control at the end of your fingers.  ZEISS lenses feature a specially designed ergonomic construction that is noticeable at first touch.  The large rotation angle of this lens guarantees precise focusing.  The mechanism moves super smoothly and without extra play, furthering the intuitive interaction along the focal plane.

OPTIMIZED RANGEFINDER FOCUS SHIFT
Zeiss T ZM-mount lenses are uniquely engineered to wrestle the full benefits out of rangefinder-defined focus systems.  This lens is designed for minimal focus shift with aperture changes.  You will enjoy much improved accuracy as the precise 10-blade aperture with 1/3 stop interval click stops ensures exact exposure.

ZEISS T* COATING
This lens features the Carl Zeiss T* (T-Star) coating, a process that virtually eliminates lens flare, internal reflection and light scattering that can occur. The T* coating contributes to outstanding image quality, with high contrast and excellent resolution right out to the image edges. Not simply applied to any lens, the T* symbol only appears on multi-element lenses in which the required performance has been achieved throughout the entire optical path, therefore guaranteeing the highest quality.

ADVANCED APERTURE DESIGN
With ZEISS lenses you can create stunning Bokeh effects, thanks to the finely tuned features of ZEISS SLR lenses.  By keeping the background intentionally blurred, additional focus is created on the subject of an image.  The uniquely engineered diaphragm blades of this lens, along with the virtually circular aperture, deliver stunning renditions of highlights the back and foreground.
