Vortex Optics Viper HD 3000 Laser Rangefinder

The Viper HD 3000 laser rangefinder gives you the tools to act quickly and confidently, with a 3,000-yard max range and a stunning HD optical system that lets you pinpoint big game faster at distance. Four target modes (Normal, First, Last, ELR) and two ranging modes (LOS, HCD) mean you get the flexibility to range any shot on any hunt, making the Viper HD 3000 perfect for the treestand and the mountains.

HD Optical System

Optimized with select glass elements to deliver exceptional resolution, cut chromatic aberration, and provide outstanding color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharpness, and light transmission.

Ranging Modes

Line of Sight (LOS) displays the actual line of sight range. Horizontal Component Distance (HCD) displays the slope angle compensated for the target distance. Scan Feature displays continuous distance readings while panning across a landscape. This feature is available in all modes.

Target Modes

Normal Mode is the standard mode that provides the target’s range with the strongest range result. Recommended for most situations. First Mode displays the closest distance when ranging. Ideal for ranging smaller targets in front of other larger, more reflective targets. Last Mode displays the farthest distance when ranging. Ideal for ranging a specific target behind a group of objects like brush, trees, rocks, etc. Lastly, ELR Mode is ideal for ranging targets at extreme distances. A slightly longer response time allows greatly extended range distances. Best used on a tripod.
