With a 40W bi-color LED that delivers 50 percent more output than earlier versions, the B20 supports both photography and video production with adjustable brightness and color temperature.
User-Replaceable Flash Tube
The flash tube can be easily replaced on-site, reducing downtime during shoots and maintaining consistent performance.
Wide 11-Stop Power Range
The 11-stop power range gives photographers control over light output, from subtle fill light to full-power illumination, adapting to different lighting needs.

Compatibility with Profoto Light Shaping Tools
With built-in AirX technology and compatibility with over 120 Profoto light shaping tools, the B20 offers flexibility for creative lighting setups.
Softbox
The Profoto Softbox Octa sets up in seconds thanks to its integrated speedring and creates a stunning, soft light. Its circle-like shape generates natural catchlights in the subject’s eyes, making it perfect for portraiture photography. The Octa shape produces equally soft or hard edges on all sides, making it ideal for fashion, beauty, and portrait photography.
Featuring an all-in-one mount design, the Profoto Softbox Octa is incredibly easy to set up with a quick fold/unfold solution. In addition, it provides adjustable softness and intensity of light through its removable and interchangeable diffuser. The recessed front evenly delivers a distribution of natural-looking light and as it is heat-resistant, it is compatible with flashes using halogen continuous (up to 500W halogen) light as well.
Softgrid
All Profoto Softboxes have a recessed front that allows you to attach a softgrid. The softgrid reduces the light spread to 50°. In other words, it creates a more directed light and eliminates a large amount of spill light, allowing you to shape the light with even more precision.
By limiting the spread of light, a softgrid can help to create more contrast in your images, resulting in a more dramatic and moodier look. In regard to reducing unwanted spill light, it is especially useful when you need to avoid illuminating the background or surrounding areas.
Li-Ion Battery
The last thing you need when shooting on location is to run out of battery. With a spare OCF battery you will get plenty of extra runtime. Fully charged you’ll get over 400 extra flashes on full power with the B10/B10X/B20 and 200 full-power flashes with the B10 Plus/B10X Plus/B30. The battery can be clicked on and off the flash in seconds and the charge level indicator on the battery makes it easy to check the charge level. The battery can be recharged quickly with the Profoto Battery Charger 3A and all our batteries are UN-certified so you can take them on a plane in hand-luggage, no matter where you’re travelling to.
