Polaroid I-2 Instant Analog Camera with Autofocus 3-Lens System with B&W and Instant Films
Polaroid I-2 Instant Analog Camera with Autofocus 3-Lens System, Lidar System and LCM Display
Introducing the Polaroid I-2, a vehicle to claim category ownership and position Polaroid as the instant analog photography brand in the world. I-2 is Polaroid’s love letter to instant analog photography. It is the ultimate everyday creative tool for passionate creatives who are more serious about photography. The I-2 elevates Polaroid cameras from being perceived as ‘toy cameras’ to high-end, beautifully designed tools because of their premium optical design and precise controls.
Premium Optical Design
All current Polaroid cameras have a Hyperfocus 2-lens system. The I-2 is Polaroid’s first autofocus 3-lens system. Combined with a Lidar system (premium light meter), the I-2 can perfectly detect your object’s distance by adjusting the lens to it. So it has an amazing focal distance, enabling you to make super-sharp and bright pictures. It has a simple working mechanism - point your camera at the object you want to shoot, and the light meter detects the object and calculates the distance to it. The lens adapts and moves to this object’s distance, adjusting it for optimal lens performance.
Precise Controls
In the viewfinder, an LCM display is implemented that shows all information about the camera and its distance from your object. You can easily catch the situation of the camera + object and understand, as a photographer, what you need to do. It gives you standard information like the number of pictures and battery level. It also gives you photography information like MI object + Distance to the object (0.3m - infinity), shutter speed value, aperture (up to f/8) = biggest aperture in the portfolio for beautiful bokeh effect, light meter indicator (under or overexposed) that can be adjusted with the EV ring, and flash (on or off).
Works with Professional Tools
The I-2 is the first instant analog camera in the current assortment, with the possibility of linking an external flash to the camera. It has a PC Sync interface, enabling professional photographers to use their external (old) flash systems. This way, this camera can truly be used as a tool for professional creators to shoot their images in the studio.
4 Ways of Using the Camera
There are four ways of using the camera in a fully automatic, point-and-shoot way. Second, the is shutter priority, where movement of the object is key (quick or super slow, max 999 hours). Aperture priority for up to f/8 for portraits (Bokeh). The last one is manual, where professional photography, enables you to have a lot of creative potential.
Polaroid B&W Film for i-Type Cameras
Got a camera? Need film. Polaroid i-Type cameras have their own film: it's battery-free (unlike the standard film for vintage cameras), so it's easier on the wallet. Compatible with the OneStep + and the Now cameras, plus the Polaroid Lab. There are 8 instant photos in every pack.
Store Chilled
The fridge is your movie's best friend. Temperature affects how Polaroid film works. To keep the film fit for recording, we recommend storing it in the refrigerator (not the freezer) and allowing it to reach room temperature (55.4-82.4 degree F / 55-82 degree F) before loading it into the camera.
Care for Your Camera
Clean rollers make photos clearer. Each Polaroid camera has a set of rollers inside the film door. If these rollers are dirty, the chemistry cannot so easily spread across the film frame. If they look dirty, give them a gentle cleaning with a soft, damp cloth.
