The PocketWizard AC7 RF Hard Shield helps to enhance flash unit performance when using the MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 range extenders. Particularly when using Canon's 580EX, 580EXII and 430EX flashes, where RF interference (EMI) tends to cloud up antennas, the material of the AC7's body effectively blocks it. Also built into the hot shoe of the AC7 shield is an electronic filter that cancels out noise travel through its connections. Using this shield with the FlexTT5 radio significantly extends the unit's range to receive transmissions by 300 to 500 percent.

The AC7 is versatile and features two 1/4-20 mounting points for vertical or horizontal installation. Expand your setup possibilities and mount this shield easily on light stands, clamps or brackets. There's an opening on the side of the shield that allows the flash head to rotate when in use. Thanks to the lay-flat design of the AC7 shield, the flash will be situated towards the center when used with an umbrella, which results in outstanding even light distribution.
