Patterson & Ilford Film Processing Kit w/ Extra Developing Tanks & Reels Bundle

Paterson Photographic Patterson and Ilford Film Processing Kit

This co-branded Ilford and Paterson starter kit contains everything needed to process your first rolls of film. From a developer, stop bath, fixer and wetting agent to the perfect sized developing tank and measuring cylinders for processing two rolls of 35mm film at a time (or one 120 roll). You’ll only need a darkroom, light tight space, or dark changing bag to get started.

Simple to Use

The technique to process your own film is simple and rewarding and made even easier thanks to Ilford Simplicity chemicals which are pre-measured for speed and ease of use. While these chemicals can easily be used in most developing tanks the measurements were based on the Paterson 2-reel Universal Film Development Tank contained in this kit making it the ideal pairing.

Paterson Universal Developing Tank and Two Reels

The Super System 4 is simpler to load, faster to fill and easier to clean than any other tank. It has a large diameter one piece lid and funnel which clips into place positively and securely, enabling the tank to be filled and emptied quickly. The Paterson 35mm tank takes a single 35mm film. Supplied complete with one 35mm/120/220 Auto Load Reel; Water-tight EVA cap prevents leakage during inversion agitation; Uses less than 300ml for a single 35mm film. The Universal tank takes two 35mm films or a single 120/220 film. The 35mm model is complete with one auto load reel and the Universal tank is complete with two auto load reels.

Use

Agitation of the processing solutions can be by inversion of the tank using the flexible water tight cap provided, or by rotary agitation using the agitation rod also provided. In processing 300 ml of solution is required for a single 35mm film or 500m1 for two 35mm and one 120 roll film. It is essential that in use, the auto load reels are always used fixed onto the center column provided. This ensures that the tank remains light tight during the processing cycle.

Darkroom Changing Bag for 35mm and 120mm Film (XL)

A changing bag is probably the most essential piece of equipment a photographer who shoots with film can carry. In the field having a changing bag to hand means that a jammed or partly exposed film can be safely removed from the camera and shooting can continue. It will also allow a film to be loaded into a developing tank without having to first find a darkroom. The changing bag is large enough to allow a camera back to be fully opened once inside or a film to be loaded into a tank. It has a fail-safe double skin with a double closure and the inner lining is specially designed to avoid perspiration in prolonged use.
