The Celestron NexStar 8SE Schmidt-Cassegrain Computerized Telescope is a telescope designed with all the latest features for amateur or professional astronomers. It is an 8-inch aperture Schmidt-Cassegrain with excellent light-gathering ability for incredible views of deep sky objects. The Celestron NexStar has a fully automated GoTo computerized mount with a database of more than 40,000 celestial objects and auto tracks the objects for you. The telescope can also be easily dismantled into compact pieces for portability and quick assembly, thanks to the unique single fork arm design with a sturdy steel tripod. The 8SE is made with a sturdy build and high quality components for pointing and tracking accuracy. This telescope combines an orange tube and advanced optics for better experience.

The NexStar 8SE Telescope features a full 8-inch aperture to reveal spectacular view in even the faintest celestial objects. The light-gathering ability of this telescope also allows you to see Cassini's Division in Saturn's rings, Jupiter's cloud bands and the Great Red Spot. You can see distant stars, detailed geographic features and craters on the moon.
Easy Alignment
The SkyAlign technology makes the aligning process of the telescope simpler. It allows you to center three bright objects in your eyepiece and press the align button, and you're aligned. You can make it even easier by attaching Celestron's StarSense AutoAlign so that it aligns itself.
High Transmission Lens Coating
The Celestron NexStar 8SE is a reflecting telescope that captures light through a lens and bounces it off a series of mirrors into the eyepiece where you then see an image. Every mirror reflection causes light loss in reflecting telescopes. But the Starbright XLT ultra-high transmission lens coating in this telescope allows you to view even dark and distant images in high quality. The coating increases the amount of light transferred to the eyepiece, making your image brighter and clearer.
NexStar Computer System
The computerized telescope is equipped with the on-board NexStar computer system and is compatible with all the high-tech accessories. The computer system is pre-programmed with Sky Tours so that you don't have to manually re-adjust the telescope for every celestial object you look at. You can easily view your celestial objects with NexStar+ hand control. The system also allows you to find any object and control your telescope using your iPhone or iPad with SkyQ Link.
