This EclipSmart Solar Filter from Celestron allows you to transform standard Celestron 8 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD telescopes into a white-light solar telescope for safe viewing of eclipses and other solar events.
This filter is designed to fit on your telescope like a lens cap using two hook-and-loop fasteing safety straps and four self-adhesive hook-and-loop pads. These straps and pads safely secure the EclipSmart filter in place and create a snug fit.
This Mylar filter has a large 176mm aperture to ensure an unobstructed view of the sky. It’s also ISO-compliant and protects your eyes against solar radiation, IR and UV light for a safe viewing experience.
