Aputure Storm 1200x Dual-Color Point Source Light Fixture with Advanced Dimming Technology (Black)
Introducing the Aputure Storm 1200x in Black, Aputure's
first light in the new Storm family of cutting-edge workhorse point-source
fixtures. As a 1200W dual-color point source fixture featuring Aputure’s
breakthrough Blair LED chipset, a ProLock locking Bowens mount, and advanced
dimming technology, the Storm 1200x is a feature-packed fixture suitable for a
tremendous range of professional imaging applications from high-end film
productions to small-crew video or photo shoots. With the breakthrough
proprietary Blair chipset, the Storm 1200x delivers exceptional brightness and
color accuracy. The Storm 1200x offers a hefty 24000 lux at 3m at 5600K with
its included hyper reflector while maintaining an SSI (P3200) of 87 and SSI
(CIE D5600) of 87 at 3200K and 5600K respectively. The inclusion of an indigo
diode in this chipset enhances the colors of fluorescing materials, resulting
in an image that is lit more accurately to match natural daylight and tungsten
sources.
Features
Featuring a CCT range of 2500K to 10000K and advanced white-point control with
green-magenta color correction (plus-minus G 100 percent full ASC MITC range),
this fixture offers the versatility and critical color accuracy that
professionals call for on set. Equipped with advanced dimming technology, the
Storm 1200x ensures flicker-free, color-accurate operation during shooting even
at its lowest output level of less than 50lux at 1m (5600K). In addition, this
dimming technology provides users with an unprecedented 0.1 to 100 percent
step-less brightness control. Armed with a newly designed ProLock locking
Bowens mount, the Storm 1200x can support standard Bowens mount modifiers while
maintaining an easy coupling procedure for heavier modifiers that reduces the
need to make rotational adjustments with accessories to achieve a secure,
optically aligned lock. Featuring comprehensive lighting control protocol
options, including 16-bit DMX512, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-net and SACN Ethernet,
and Sidus Link or Sidus Link Pro App control, the Storm 1200x ensures seamless
integration into professional lighting workflows at the lamp head and behind
the console. With a rugged IP65 dust and weather-resistant certification, the
Storm 1200x can withstand even the most demanding filming environments in
inclement weather without impacting performance or reliability.
Target Audience
The Storm 1200x is a breakthrough lighting fixture designed to cater to a
diverse range of professionals within the film and photography industries
calling for high-output and versatile lights, including cinematographers,
lighting technicians, videographers, and photographers. For cinematographers,
this advanced LED fixture offers unparalleled control over any lighting
condition, with precise brightness adjustments and flicker-free performance.
The breakthrough Blair chipset provides a highly efficient color blending that
utilizes each diode's highest output levels while maintaining color-accurate
white light. Lighting technicians will appreciate the Storm 1200x versatility
and ease of integration into professional setups. Equipped with many control
options, including 16-bit DMX512, LumenRadio CRMX, and Sidus Link App control,
this fixture seamlessly adapts to complex lighting networks, enhancing workflow
efficiency. Videographers benefit from the Storm 1200x's output-to-power draw
ratio, drawing only a maximum of 1440W for an output level comparable to a 1.8K
HMI. With its versatile Bowens Mount, videographers have the flexibility to
quickly achieve their desired lighting looks with industry-standard Bowens
Mount modifiers.
